**As of publishing date, many event details have not yet been released to the public. I chose to publicize this guide early to ensure all of you Art Basel lovers that I am making it my mission to highlight and bring attention to some of the city's most promising female artists and collectives. I'm sure you want to see the best of the best, so I'll be listing them all here!

Check in frequently as I will be keeping my ear to the ground and updating you all with new events every day! ***

If you didn't already know, Miami Art Basel is a pretty big deal. Miamians and tourists alike look forward to this ingenious weekend in December with anticipation of creative inspiration and adventure. Although Miami is known to be the city of wild nights and escapades, during Art Basel week, things are different. Renowned artists from every corner of the world flock to the city to showcase their multi-million dollar masterpieces at expensive venues, and pop-ups of every kind appear in unexpected places, but the problem is, there isn't much inclusivity. See, the official Art Basel event is held at a convention center in Miami Beach which is pretty limited to the ultra-rich. Only the rich can afford to purchase the art, and typically, only the rich can afford to showcase at such expensive venues. Narrowing it down, even more, is the fact that most of those featured are men. So, um, where does this leave everyone else...?Well, the good news is that it isn't all bad! Areas like Wynwood and Little Haiti are becoming hubs for reasonably priced galleries and venues that artists have begun to heavily rely on over the past few years. As it turns out, it's not that diversity in Arts isn't available, it's just that "people don't know what they don't know".  So, this guide is for those of you seeking an alternative to the norm; a more wholesome Art Basel experience. Unlike many of the guides that'll appear in the coming weeks, this one will exclusively highlight up-and-coming female artists whose work you're destined to deeply connect with.

I hope you enjoy this year's festivities and show love to these amazing ladies!
